Alicia Amodeo, born on April 30, 1941, in Edcouch, Texas, passed away peacefully in Livonia, Michigan, on February 26, 2025, at the age of 83.
Alicia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her family. She found immense joy in being an "Abuela" to her beloved grandchildren, and her nurturing spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Alicia was also known for her role as an "Avon Lady," where her vibrant personality and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
In her leisure time, Alicia enjoyed the thrill of visiting casinos, especially playing the slots. She had a creative touch and a keen eye for detail, which she expressed through her passion for being a seamstress.
Alicia is preceded in death by her father, Jose Melendez; her mother, Carolina Longoria; and her siblings, Maria Mercedes, Jose de la Luz Jr. "Joe," Maria Enedina "Noni," Maria Elena "Mary," and Manuel.
She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Amodeo; her children, Saundra Dudek, Anthony (Denise) Amodeo, Catherine Clipper, Carolina Amodeo, and G. Thomas Amodeo; her cherished grandchildren, Rachel, Samantha, Stephanie, Isabel, Alphonse, Dale, and Emily (Mike); and her great-grandchild, Jackson.
Alicia's warmth, love, and generosity touched the lives of many, and her memory will forever be treasured by her family and friends.
