Obituary
Tanya Dani Allen, born on October 20, 1971, in Monmouth, Illinois, passed away on July 22, 2026, at the age of 54 in Northville, Michigan.
Tanya was a woman of deep faith, finding strength, comfort and hope through her relationship with God. She lived life with a vibrant spirit and an adventurous heart, always eager to explore new places and create lasting memories through her love of travel. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life- losing herself in a good book, spending time on the water boating or kayaking, and soaking up the warmth of a sunny day. Tanya’s infectious laugh could brighten an entire room, and her kindness, compassion, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate to know her.
While most flowers never caught her attention, sunflowers always did. They reflected the warmth, resilience, and light she shared so freely with those around her. Above all else, Tanya’s greatest joy was her family. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to the people she loved, always putting their needs before her own and giving generously of her time, energy, and heart. She never missed her daughters’ milestones, cheering them on through every season of life. No matter the circumstance, Tanya was the first person to show up with open arms, a listening ear, and support. Whether someone needed a shoulder to cry on, words of encouragement, or simply someone to sit beside them, she was always there.
Tanya is survived by her devoted husband of 28 years, Duane Allen; her beloved daughters, Ashley Allen and Sarah Allen; and her parents, Daniel and Nancy Behring. She also leaves behind her siblings, Deanna Behring-Warner, Shelley Bausch, and Jonathon Behring, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her beyond measure.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Grandma Steeno, whose memory remained close to Tanya’s heart throughout her life.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Tanya’s faith has carried her home. Her love, laughter, generosity, and adventurous spirit will continue to live on in the lives she touched. She will be remembered not only for the joy she brought into the world, but for the love she so freely gave to everyone fortunate enough to call her family or friend. Her memory will forever be a blessing.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation in Tanya’s honor.
