Obituary

Alice Marie Bologna, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on January 10, 2026, in Westland, Michigan, at the age of 93. Born on November 16, 1932, in Inkster, Michigan, she lived a life filled with love, dedication, and selflessness.

Alice was known for her radiant smile and her unwavering commitment to putting others before herself. A devoted member of the Westland community, she was actively involved with the DYER Center, where she touched many lives with her kindness and generosity. Her Sundays were devoted to attending church, often going out of her way to ensure others could join her, even assisting those in need of a helping hand.

A wonderful grandmother, Alice cherished every moment spent with her family, always finding immense joy in their company and celebrating their achievements. Her home was a warm and welcoming place, filled with laughter and love.

Alice was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph "Dom" Bologna; her parents, Thomas and Helen Spear; and her brothers, Robert, Thomas, Harold, and James Spear. She is survived by her children: Joseph Bologna, Angela (Fred) Harrison, Theresa (Jeff) Carter, and Cheryl (Michael Carrington) Bologna. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Scott (Ally) Harrison, Karen (Logan) Fiebig, Michael Bologna, Kyle Lepore, Madeline (Max) Messinger, Kenny Carter, Allison Carter, and Jenna (Matt) Scherer, as well as her adored great-grandchildren, Natalie and Audrey Fiebig.
