Obituary

Bobby Ray Boggs, age 86, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, in Taylor, Michigan. Born on September 7, 1939, in Gauley Bridge, West Virginia, he lived a life rich in love and simple pleasures.

Bobby was a man who cherished the classic cars of his youth, finding joy in their timeless beauty and craftsmanship. He spent countless hours sharing this passion with family and friends, and his enthusiasm was infectious to all who knew him.

Bobby's commitment extended beyond his hobbies. As an active member of Charity Baptist Church, his faith was a cornerstone of his life. Known for his devotion and his willingness to serve, he was a beloved figure in his church community, offering support and encouragement through both words and actions.

In addition to his automotive and spiritual pursuits, Bobby was a self-taught musician who found happiness playing his Gibson guitar, he also loved Southern Gospel music.

Professionally, Bobby retired as a used car salesperson from Zubor Buick, where his expertise and genuine nature made him a respected and well-liked colleague.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jennie Clonch Boggs, and his siblings Ruby Petry, Daisy Frye, Macil Boggs, and Leonard Boggs.

Bobby is survived by his loving daughter, Kara (Robert) McWilliams, and his cherished grandchildren: Kyle, Kaitlin (Nicholas), and Sarah.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Taylor Animal Shelter or by donating toy cars to Heartbeat of Monroe, reflecting Bobby's love for animals and classic cars.

Condolences

  • Kara and family, I was so sad to hear of Uncle Bob's passing. He was one of the sweetest men I've ever known. We'll be making a donation to the animal shelter in his honor. That seems like a lovely tribute to him because he was always doting on his little dogs. You're in our thoughts and prayers. Margie, Mark, Nina and Lydia Margie Rader
