Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Leslie Bohn on January 5, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on March 21, 1955, Ron led a life filled with love, dedication, and resilience.

From a young age, Ron displayed a passion for sports, enjoying baseball and hockey during his childhood. He proudly graduated from Trenton High School and went on to pursue a skilled career as a tool and dye maker, a profession he dedicated himself to for 45 years.

Twenty years ago, Ron met the love of his life, Gail, and together they shared a truly remarkable love story. Their bond was strengthened by their mutual affection for Anna Maria Island in Florida, where they cherished many memories. Ron’s kindness extended to Gail’s family as well; he lovingly cared for her mother, Evelyn, who lived with them and whom he treated like his own second mother.

Despite battling cancer for three and a half years, Ron remained a beacon of strength and positivity. He endured constant pain with grace and never complained, often saying he was in God’s hands. His visits to Karmanos Cancer Center were marked by his ability to bring joy to those around him, a testament to his enduring spirit and humor.

Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gail Bohn, his parents Merlon and Earlene Bohn, and his sister, Deborah Bohn. He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his sons, Brandon Bohn and Shawn (Sam) Bohn; grandchildren, Brandon Bohn, Layla Bohn, Jordan Bohn, Nickolas Bohn, and Briella Bohn. He is also survived by his sister, Janice L. Hancock (William Allgeier), and was a favorite uncle to Carrie (Jeff) Hancock, Brian (Sue) Hancock, and Corey (Josephine) Bohn. He also leaves behind a circle of friends of 69 years.

Ron will be remembered for his unfailing sense of humor, his zest for life, and his unwavering courage in the face of adversity. He touched the lives of all who knew him and will be profoundly missed.

  • I worked with Ron many years at Iverson Industries, he was always the professional. I can remember how he always made me laugh no matter what was happening. All I have to do is think of him or see a picture of him and it brings back fond memories. I wish that I would have been able to see him more over the last years. Life goes by way to fast, try and enjoy every minute. Keith Miller
  • We will be forever grateful for the kindness and support Ron gave to my sister, Gail and mother, Evelyn. There are people in life that bring a smile to your face when you see them. Ron and Gail were two of those people. You couldn’t help but laugh even if you were the victim of one of Ron’s jokes. We always enjoyed his company. Ron and Gail were loved ones who took pleasure in what they could do for others. Two who lived a life well lived! We miss them both dearly. Forever in our hearts. Paul & Ann Zitzelsberger
  • It was great knowing Ron for the last nine years we work together at Paslin manufacturing. He was a great person to be around. I’m glad we kept in contact through him battling the cancer. He was one of a kind, very special person and he always made me laugh. He was a character if you’re down who would uplift you with his humor, may rest in peace with his beloved Gail that he was very fond of he always talked about her and his mother-in-law that he took care of never complained he will be sadly missed!
