Obituary

Brenda Sue Corman, a cherished mother, sister, and friend, passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 67 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Born on July 13, 1958, in New Boston, Michigan, she lived a life full of warmth, kindness, and an unwavering spirit that touched all who knew her.
Brenda dedicated her professional life to caring for others, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Glacier Hills Senior Living Community in Ann Arbor. Her gentle demeanor and compassionate nature made her beloved among colleagues and residents alike.
A woman of myriad interests, Brenda found joy in collecting cookbooks and experimenting with new recipes. She had a passion for trying new foods and savoring the diverse flavors the world had to offer. Her love for the arts was evident in her frequent visits to musicals and the theatre, as well as her regular attendance at the Ann Arbor Symphony, where she delighted in watching her son Timothy play the oboe.
Brenda was also a keen collector of pottery and greatly enjoyed attending art fairs and antiquing. Her home was a testament to her eclectic taste and artistic eye, each piece lovingly curated over the years.
Those who knew Brenda will forever remember her for the little things—such as always having treats ready for the neighborhood children, brightening their days with her generosity and affection.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Corman, and her parents, Julius and Barbara Washelewski. Brenda leaves behind her devoted son, Timothy Michling, and his wife Deborah, along with her adored grandkitty, Wotan, and grandhorse, Emmerson. She is also survived by her loving brothers, Larry, Jeff, and Paul.
Brenda's presence in the lives of her family, friends, and all who knew her was a blessing. Her warmth, compassion, and zest for life will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a donation to the Ann Arbor Symphony to help support youth music education in memory of Brenda.
