Obituary

Dennis Cole, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on September 12, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, Dennis spent his final days in Taylor, Michigan, surrounded by the love of his family.

Dennis dedicated his life to his tire shop business, where he worked tirelessly and passionately from a young age. His commitment to his work was matched only by his enthusiasm for his personal interests, particularly boating and race cars. These pursuits brought him great joy and fulfillment throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bethel and Eula, and his brothers, Leon, Ricky, and Vern. Dennis leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Joyce; his children, Alisa (Steven) Cosby, Dennis Dallas Cole Jr., Patricia (Shane) Morgan, Justin (Taryne) Cole, and Nicholas (Chelsea) Cole. He also leaves behind his siblings, Betty, Vance, Bernice, and Roland.

Dennis was blessed with a large family that included his grandchildren—Brandon, Bradlee, Kanzis, Kolin, Kayden, Deanna, Sarah, Dillion, Savanah, Jocelyn, Jaydon, Brooklynn, Paitynn, Maisynn, Ashlynn, Braelynn, and Cailynn—who were his pride and joy. He also adored his great-grandchildren, Westen, Avery, Ryder, Billy, Cora, Colton, and Lainey Quinn. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and he treasured the moments spent with them.

Dennis's legacy is one of dedication, love, and passion for both his family and his interests. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the cherished memories shared by his family and friends.

  • Dad, This is the hardest thing I've ever been through & I've been through a lot in my life. I don't know how to go on, I have no words to describe the emptiness I feel in my heart & soul. It hurts to know I'm on this earth without you, my dad is gone & I feel so lost without you here. I find some comfort knowing your not in pain or suffering anymore, you held on so long for your family you endured so much for us, I know you were tired, I know you're in heaven rejoicing with the Lord and with that being said I'll carry your memories forever in my heart. You were the best father a girl could want, you provided everything for your family and worked so hard, never missing a day just to make sure we all were taken care of and we are going miss you so badly Dad, life is definitely not going to be the same in any way dad with you gone. Go rest high on that mountain dad your work on earth is done. We love you dad forever and forever in our hearts Amen ❤️ alisa_cosby@yahoo.com
