Obituary
Mary Helen Cundiff, born on January 6, 1945, in Pike County, Kentucky, passed away on September 8, 2026, in Taylor, Michigan, at the age of 81.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. She was the beloved wife of William R. Cundiff, with whom she shared 62 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised a son, William, who survives her.
Throughout her life, Mary worked diligently on the assembly line for Kerr Dental, where she formed lasting friendships and contributed to the community with pride. Outside of her professional life, Mary found joy in a variety of creative pursuits. She was particularly passionate about making her own pottery molds and painting, expressing her artistic spirit through these crafts. Mary also enjoyed the challenges of crosswords and Tetris, keeping her mind sharp and engaged. Her adventurous heart found excitement in storm chasing, a pastime that brought her closer to the beauty and power of nature.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Minnie, as well as her siblings Gertie, Judy, LD, Reeford, and Larry. Her memory will be cherished by her surviving siblings Phyllis, Bernice, Margaret, Donnie, Carlis, Ricky, and Connie, along with numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
Mary's presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Services are pending currently. Entombment to follow at Michigan Memorial Park.
