Obituary

CHISM, Orvil E., age 89, of Woodhaven, November 04, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Anna Chism. Loving father of Bruce (Lisa) Chism, Gregory Chism and Sheryl (John) Pattok. Dearest grandfather of Isabel, Rachel, Jessica, Anna, Emily, Sydney, Katie, Mattew and Sam. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and his beloved poodle Lucy. Orvil was known for his love of the farm in Hillsdale, MI. His passion for exercise on his stationary bike and his amazing perseverance for living life to the fullest. He is preceded in death by his parents Columbus and Ludie Chism and his 6 brothers and 8 sisters. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Foundation (parkinson.org) or Leukemia Foundation (allbloodcancers.org).

Bruce, Greg and Sheryl, I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Orville. I have fond memories of him. I am sure you do, too. Keep those memories alive and he will always be close in your heart. To Bruce, Greg and Sheryl; condolences to all of you, your dad was a big part of my childhood and my dad's too. Grandma Bagwell (Ruby) spoke of him often.
