Shirley Anna Conroy, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on January 23, 2026, in Trenton, Michigan, at the age of 100. Born on November 27, 1925, in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, Shirley lived a full and vibrant life dedicated to her family.
As a devoted homemaker, Shirley created a warm and loving environment for her family. She loved crocheting, puzzles, crosswords, and word searches. She had a natural affinity for people and delighted in socializing, always bringing warmth and laughter to those around her.
Above all, Shirley loved her family deeply. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Conroy, and her son, Raymond (Marie) Conroy. Her legacy continues through her surviving children, Sandra (the late Robert) Hughes and Robert (Sandra) Conroy, who carry forward her values of love and togetherness.
Shirley was blessed with nine grandchildren: Christine (Raymond) Waack, Charles (Kathleen) Jones, Mark Jones, Mary Jamison, Sherry Diaz, Holly Mayville, Brian Conroy, Kevin Conroy, and Angela (Justin) Schwark. Her family tree extends further with many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, each a testament to the enduring love and strength she imparted.
Shirley's life was a testament to the power of family and friendship. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
