Obituary
Gabriele "Gabe" Di Cesare passed away on September 25, 2026, in Lincoln Park, Michigan, at the age of 73. Born on January 17, 1953, in the town of Gagliano, Italy, Gabe brought a piece of his vibrant heritage to every corner of his life.
Gabe dedicated many years of his professional life as an Environmental Specialist at General Motors Co., where he was known for his commitment to sustainability and the well-being of the facility. His work ethic and dedication were admired by colleagues and friends alike.
Outside of his professional life, Gabe held a deep passion for working out and staying active, a testament to his lifelong love of running track. He had a special place in his heart for cats, finding joy and companionship in their presence. Gabe also enjoyed the art of woodworking, crafting pieces with care and skill. His adventurous spirit found an outlet in his love for Harley motorcycles, which brought him freedom and exhilaration on the open road.
Gabe was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mario and Laura; his twin brother, Fernando; his grandson, Donavon; and his nephew, Tony Jr. He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories with his daughter, Kathleen Wix, and her husband, Donavon; his cherished grandchildren, Damien and Darian; and his dear brother, Antonio Di Cesare, and his wife, Tina.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. A service celebrating Gabe's life will follow at 3:00 PM. Cremation will take place at "The Witness Crematory" located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, with inurnment to follow in Michigan Memorial Park.
Gabe's warmth, humor, and gentle spirit touched all who knew him. He will be profoundly missed but forever remembered by those whose lives he enriched. May he rest in eternal peace.
