Obituary

Mary Dilks, born on July 14, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on May 21, 2026, in Van Buren Township, Michigan, at the age of 96.

Mary was a cherished member of her community and a beloved matriarch to her family. She was a devoted member of the Huron Senior Club since 1992, where she enjoyed the camaraderie and friendships she built over the years. Mary had a passion for playing cards, a pastime that brought her joy and many fond memories with friends and family alike.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bruce Dilks, and her dear sister, Olga Swick. Mary's legacy lives on through her children: Daniel Dilks, Gayle (Marvin) Hillman, and David (Sally Jo) Dilks. She was a proud grandmother to Ryan, Jennifer, Christopher, and Kevin, and a doting great-grandmother to Matthew, Ella, Chase, and Edwin.

Mary's life was a testament to the love she had for her family, who were always at the center of her heart. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Huron Township Senior Citizens.
