Obituary
Diane Marie Ellis, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on September 8, 2026, in Carleton, Michigan. Born on September 19, 1942, in Brownstown, Michigan, she graced this world with her warmth and love for nearly 84 years.
Diane was a woman who cherished her family deeply. Her kitchen was always filled with the enticing aromas of meals prepared with love, especially during birthdays when she joyfully cooked abundant feasts for her loved ones. She found great pleasure in spending time with her family, and these gatherings were the highlight of her life.
Shopping was another passion of Diane's. Whether it was grocery shopping or finding the best deals with her coupons, she approached it with enthusiasm and skill, always ensuring her family had everything they needed.
Diane was preceded in death by her devoted husband, James Ellis; her parents, Charles and Lila Fater; three sisters; and one brother. She is survived by her loving daughters, Crystal Townley and Angela Townley; her cherished grandson, Raymond (Jessica) Rosensteel, and her adored great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Alaina, and Rayne. Additionally, she leaves behind her beloved brother, Charles Fater.
Diane's legacy of love, family devotion, and the joy she found in the simple pleasures of life will forever be remembered and treasured by those who knew her.
