Obituary

Randall "Randy" A. Evanoff, a beloved husband, father, son, brother and uncle, passed away on February 26, 2026, in Southgate, Michigan, at the age of 70. Born on December 7, 1955, in Dearborn, Michigan, Randy lived a full and vibrant life surrounded by family, friends, and the great outdoors.

Randy spent much of his career as a skilled electrician with General Motors Co. His passion for his craft led him to establish his own electrical contracting company, where he was known for his dedication and expertise.

Beyond his work, Randy found joy in nature's bounty. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, always eager to embrace the tranquility and challenge of the wilderness. A true sports enthusiast, Randy could often be found cheering on his favorite teams, especially the University of Michigan Football, and watching NASCAR races. He also enjoyed bowling and took great pride in maintaining his lawn, which he lovingly tended with the same care he gave to all aspects of his life.

Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Evanoff. He is survived by his devoted wife, Diane; his father, Edward J. Evanoff, Sr.; his son, Eric Evanoff, and Eric's partner, Cheri Caudill. Randy will be deeply missed by his brothers: Edward (Holly) Evanoff, Jr., Marc (Peggy) Evanoff, Douglas (Lisa) Evanoff, and Ken Evanoff. Several nieces and nephews also mourn his passing.

The family invites friends and loved ones to pay their respects during visitation, which will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. A service to honor Randy's life will take place on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. Following the service, Randy will be laid to rest in Michigan Memorial Park.

Randy's legacy lives on through the love he shared with his family and friends and the indelible impact he made on those who knew him. He will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit.
