Obituary

Barbara Ann Francetich, born January 8, 1946, in Highland Park, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 21, 2025, in Wyandotte, Michigan, at the age of 79.

Barbara was a devoted and cherished presence in the lives of all who knew her. Her life was centered around her family, whom she loved dearly. She found great joy in being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her warm heart and gentle spirit were a comfort to all.

She was preceded in death by her beloved grandchild Michael and her parents, Chester Aaron and Lillian McDonald.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 61 year, Tom and children; Michelle (John) Sears, Michael (Lisa) Francetich, and Jennifer (Khris) Workman. She also leaves behind her adored grandchildren: Kristina, Melissa, Katie, Kayla, Brittany, Shannon, Tyler, and Sophia, as well as her precious great-grandchildren: Anthony, Alex, Ava, Landon, Cody, Noah, Alaya, Tucker, Ellie, Amelia, Austin, Melanie, Olivia, and Jayce. Barbara's sister, Dolores, along with many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins, will forever cherish her memory.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service to honor Barbara's life will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM.

Barbara's legacy of love and dedication to her family will live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

I am so incredibly sorry to all of the people who loved Barb the most. She was the person who lit the room up when she walked in with her loving and funny soul. Her love for her family shined so bright you could see it for miles. Her love for shopping and hiding it all from Tom to all the love she held for Tom for over 60 years. All the beautiful times are now beautiful memories that we can all cherish until we meet again. Rest peacefully Barb you truly were one of a kind and will be missed by so many 💜 Amber Wegiel

Geez, what does one say about Barb. I've known her almost my entire life. She was the mother of my very first best friend (Michelle), as I grew she became a mother figure to me. As an adult she became a dear friend. She put up with tons of antics from my brothers (not me though) growing up next door. As an adult, we laughed together alot. She would throw Flipz pretzels at me, I'd turn and she'd giggle and give me the middle finger. The first time I flipped it back at her she smiled and said there you go and giggle again. I will never eat a flipped pretzel without thinking of her. She was a diamond. A true treasure to myself, my family and anyone that ever was in her presence.
