Douglas Michael Fox, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, in Ash Township, Michigan, at the age of 79. Born on December 6, 1945, in Windsor, Canada, Douglas lived a life marked by dedication, joy, and service.
Douglas proudly served his country with honor, completing two tours with the Army's 101st Airborne Division and earning a Purple Heart for his bravery and commitment. His time in the military was a testament to his courage and steadfastness, characteristics that he carried into all aspects of his life.
A man of many talents and interests, Douglas was known for his wonderful hosting days by the pool, where laughter and good times abounded. He had an infectious sense of humor, often lightening the mood as a jokester. His passions included riding motorcycles and enjoying leisurely golf games. Douglas treasured his regular breakfasts with dear friends, cherishing those moments of camaraderie and connection.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Joseph Fox. He is survived by his devoted wife of 12 years, Carol Miracle-Fox, who stood by his side through life's journey. He leaves behind his loving children, Leeann (Aaron) Cain and Bryan (Julie) Fox, and his cherished step-daughter, Nichole Miracle. His legacy continues through his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Landen, Leora, Korbin, Lennox, Asher, Joey, Jacob, Nicholas, Brooke, Thomas, Bentley, Kelli, Lylah, Rayne, and Aaron, who will fondly remember their grandfather's warmth and wisdom.
Douglas is also survived by his dear siblings, Chuck and Linda, and numerous nieces and nephews who will carry forward his memory and spirit.
