Mary Lou Green, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on July 18, 2025, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, at the age of 95. Born on August 29, 1929, in Birmingham, Alabama, she lived a life full of warmth, love, and dedication to her family.
Mary Lou had a profound appreciation for the simple joys in life. She found great pleasure in gardening, where she nurtured beautiful blooms and bountiful harvests with her green thumb. Her talents extended to the art of sewing, creating cherished garments and textiles that her family will treasure for generations. A skilled cook, she filled her home with the comforting aroma of homemade meals, bringing her family together around the table with dishes that were as nourishing as they were delicious.
Above all, Mary Lou cherished her time spent with family. Her children, Kenneth (Cheryl) Green, Terry (Theresa) Green, Maryann (Dean) Smith, James Green, and Judy (William) Wisniewski, were the center of her world. Her legacy continues through her 22 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren, who will remember her for her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love.
