Obituary
Gretchen “Bonnie” Ruth Hojnack, born July 6, 1943, in Trenton, Michigan, passed away on October 31, 2026, in Gibraltar, Michigan, at the age of 83.
Bonnie devoted 38 years of her life to serving the Gibraltar School District as a bus driver, touching the lives of countless children with her kindness and dedication. She was a woman of great warmth and humor, known for her love of movies, books, and music. Bonnie’s joyful spirit and quick wit brought laughter and light to all who knew her. Above all, she was cherished for having the biggest heart.
She was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, James Hojnack; her son, Craig Hojnack; her parents, Edward and Jeanne Cank; and her sister, Lois Visser.
Bonnie is lovingly remembered by her children, Shawn Reid and Chris Hojnack; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; her cousin, Harriet (Richard) Phillips; and her sister-in-law, Gail "Kenneth" Hojnack.
Her presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her, as her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness lives on in the hearts of her family and friends.
