HUGHES JR., James W., age 83, of Romulus, June 09, 2023. Beloved husband of life-long love Patricia Smith. Loving father of Scott Hughes, special stepsons Steven Adams and Kenny Adams. Dearest grandfather of special grandchildren Jasmine, Michael and Hailey. He is also survived by his aunt Mary (Clarence) Randall and his special friend Bob Taormina who proudly served in the U.S. Navy with Jim and where they became lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Meldia Hughes and his 9 aunts and uncles that as a child he lived with half the year. Jim was a 4-year Navy Veteran. He served his country from 1959 to 1963. He loved to hunt and fish, going on trips with his stepsons. He was loved and will be missed by many.
