Obituary

HELTON, Walter Dale, age 74, of Van Buren Twp., September 20, 2023. Beloved husband of Karen Helton. Loving father of Tina Bikaj and Michael (Cheryl) Mars. Dearest grandfather of Christina, Brandon, Jacob, Tyler, Alyssa, Michael and Joshua. Dear great-grandfather of 3. He is also survived by his brother Tim (Norma) Siemasz. He was preceded in death by his son Kevin Helton, parents Marie and Bill Siemasz and his brother Tom Helton. His cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following charities, Animal Shelter of your choice, Salvation Army or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Karen, So sorry to hear about Dale ! He was a good friend and co-worker ! He was a true friend and had many good times at work and on the softball field ! We spent many hours talking sports and I know that he was looking forward to the 2023 football season for Michigan ! Sorry that I can not attend the service on Sat., but I contacted Covid in the past week and do not want to be around a lot of people at this time.
