Obituary

Alan Stephen Kolar, Jr., lovingly known by everyone as, “Buddy,” passed away peacefully on the morning of August 14, 2025.  Buddy was 49 years old. The beloved son of Alan and Brenda Kolar.

Buddy is survived by his devoted mother, Brenda Kolar; his brother, William (Breanna) Kolar; his sister, Rachel (Aaron) Anderson; and his precious nephews, Zavier, Zachary, and Zaiden. He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Alan Stephen Kolar Sr.

Buddy’s bond with his mother, Brenda, was unmatched—a partnership grounded in unwavering love, care, and support. Their daily car rides became cherished rituals, a time to share music, laughter and of course frozen cokes. These moments were the highlights of their days, filling both their hearts with joy.

Buddy’s humor was a special thread that wove his family together. He was famous for his sayings, many of which are still shared and cherished in family conversations. His familiar reassurance— “I’m still here. I’m still a part of your family.”—will forever echo in the hearts of his loved ones, a testament to the lasting imprint of his presence.

Although a creature of habit, Buddy had a passion for a few fun things. He loved bowling, whether it was with his family or in his annual Special Olympics competition.  He was also an enthusiastic WWE fan, never missing a chance to cheer on his favorite wrestlers with unmatched excitement. He was also appreciative of good cuisine, after every approved meal he would express to whoever made it, “tomorrow- same thing.”

Above all, Buddy was loved beyond words by his mother, Brenda. Her nurturing and unwavering devotion enriched every day of his life, creating a bond so profound that it will endure even in his physical absence.

While Buddy will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in every shared joke and joyful story. We celebrate Buddy’s life and the indelible mark he leaves on those who knew him. Though he is no longer with us in body, he is still here, still a part of our family.

Condolences
