LONG, John, age 83, of Dearborn Hts., September 23, 2023. Beloved husband of Shelvey Long. Loving father of Dawn (Mark) Hysinger, Tammy Glass and Bob (Cheryl) Partridge. Dearest grandfather of Tiffany, Ronnie and John, great-grandfather of 6 and great-great-grandfather of 1. He is also survived by his sister Martha (Dennis) King and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Long, his brothers James and William, his sister Sue and his granddaughter Haley. John was a member of the VFW Post 7575 in Garden City. He donated his time as a Santa for disabled children.
