Obituary
Ronald Lloyd Langlands, a devoted son, father, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on April 26, 2026, at the age of 63 in Wyandotte, Michigan. Born on December 26, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan, Ronald lived a life rich with love, laughter, and the joy of family and friends.
A man of exceptional skill and dedication, Ronald worked tirelessly in the field of masonry throughout his life. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were admired by many. Beyond his work, he was known for his deep appreciation of music and his many hobbies, which included flying remote-control airplanes, piloting, riding dirt bikes, and enjoying the thrill of motorcross.
Ronald was a true family man, known for his strong faith and generous spirit. He cherished the time spent with his loved ones, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a warm smile. His devotion to his mother, Evelyn Langlands, with whom he shared a special bond, was a testament to his caring nature. They were truly two peas in a pod.
Preceded in death by his father, Robert Langlands and his sister, Bonnie Langlands. Ronald is survived by his beloved mother, Evelyn Langlands; his cherished daughter, Shelby Langlands and her mother, Wendy Demick; his loving sisters, Connie Fishel (James) and Debie Gregory (Keith). He will also be missed by his niece and nephews, Bonnie, Blake and Braden Gregory, as well as his furry family member, Jessie.
Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched are invited to pay their respects at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a service at 3:00 PM. Interment will take place at Michigan Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Humane Society, honoring Ronald's love for animals.
Ronald was also an organ and tissue donor, helping up to 78 other lives.
Ronald Lloyd Langlands will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering loyalty. He leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
