Obituary

Thomas William Landon, born on June 27, 1969, in Dearborn, passed away surrounded by family on May 17, 2026, in Lincoln Park at the age of 56.

Thomas was a dedicated employee at Plastipac, where he worked diligently for 26 years. His commitment to his work was matched only by his devotion to his family and friends. He cherished spending time with his loved ones and found great joy in camping, which allowed him to connect with nature and create lasting memories with those he held dear.

A proud member of the VFW in Southgate, Thomas valued the camaraderie and community spirit he found there. He was a man of integrity and kindness, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a warm smile.

Thomas is preceded in death by his father, David William Landon, and his sister, Julie Brisbois. He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Kathy Landon; his beloved son, David William Landon II; his mother, Gail Cantrell; and his brother, Michael (Julie) Landon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles, as well as his father-in-law, Harold Anderson, and sister-in-law, Kimberly (Eric) Sovoda.

Thomas's life was enriched by the deep friendships he formed over the years. His best friends, Christopher Marteny, Lawrence Kanalis, Kurt Hunter, Conan Brooks, and Leon Eggers, were like brothers to him, and their bond was a testament to the love and loyalty that defined his character.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Downriver for Veterans, an organization close to Thomas's heart.

Thomas William Landon will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his steadfast work ethic, and his generous spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
