Obituary
Alberta Jane Meyers, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 82 in Wayne, Michigan. Born on July 31, 1943, in Northville, Michigan, Alberta was a cherished member of her family and community.
Alberta was a woman of many talents and passions. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling, an activity that brought her much joy and camaraderie. Her love for working outside was evident in her beautiful gardens and meticulously landscaped home. She found great peace in nature and spent countless hours tending to her plants and flowers.
Alberta expressed her creativity through cross-stitch and crocheting, crafting intricate pieces that will be treasured for generations. Additionally, she was an avid fan of the Detroit Red Wings, never missing a game and cheering passionately for her favorite team.
Above all, Alberta loved her family deeply. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Judy and Janet, and her parents, Albert and Elva Hart. Her memory will be forever cherished by her devoted husband of 38 years, George Meyers; her children, Tom (Dee) Lorenz, Tonya (Jim) Sample, and Kim (Chad) Brozen; her grandchildren, Sam, Heather, Hunter, Kevin, Susan, and Candyce; and her great-grandchildren, Corbin, Owen, Ari, and Martin. Alberta is also survived by her siblings, Ken, Virginia, and Brenda, who will miss her dearly.
Alberta's warmth, kindness, and love left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her family takes comfort in the memories they shared and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a Cancer Foundation of your choosing or Comfort Care Hospice, who provided compassionate care for Alberta and her family during her final days.
