Obituary
Bernard "Benny" Machowicz, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on May 24, 2026, in Taylor, Michigan, at the age of 59. Born on May 30, 1966, in Lincoln Park, Michigan, Benny lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Benny found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. His passion for the outdoors was matched only by his love for BBQing, where he delighted in bringing family and friends together over a delicious meal. Benny also had a keen eye for treasures, frequently visiting yard sales and flea markets, always on the lookout for unique finds and a bargain.
Above all, Benny was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Machowicz; his brothers, Teddy and Danny Machowicz; and his parents, Bernard and Eleanor Machowicz. His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 39 years, Kim Machowicz, and their children, Jeremy Machowicz and Bernard John Machowicz. He is also survived by his dear sisters, Brenda Machowicz, Sherri Machowicz, and Mary Jo Lee.
Benny's legacy is one of love, warmth, and kindness. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
