Obituary

Christine Dolly Moran, born on October 28, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on January 19, 2026, in Huron Township, Michigan, at the age of 97.

Christine was a devoted and loving soul who dedicated her life to caring for those around her. She had an exceptional gift for nurturing and feeding not only her family but also anyone who came into her home. Her warm and generous spirit touched all who knew her, and she was a caregiver to all.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francis Moran, her cherished daughter Dolly (The late Dan), and her parents, Gust and Irene Vorves. 

Christine leaves behind a large and loving family who will carry on her legacy of care and devotion. She is survived by her children: Frank (Laura) Moran, Irene (Richard) Evinger, Eleanor (Johnny) Edmonds, Marie (Jim) DuFour, Helen (Ron) Lafreniere, Robert (Val) Moran, Connie (Gary) Watson, and Lorraine (the late Hank) Ma. She is also survived by her siblings, Nick (Esme) Vorves and Rosemary Freeman, along with 244 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Her family and friends will cherish the many memories they shared with Christine and continue to celebrate the wonderful life she lived. She will be profoundly missed by all whose lives she touched.
