Obituary

Clinton Meyering, born on October 6, 1949, in Holland, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, in Trenton, Michigan, at the age of 76.

Clinton found joy in the great outdoors, spending many cherished moments hunting and fishing. His curiosity and love for discovery extended to the world of stamp collecting, where he gathered pieces of history with every acquisition. Clinton also had a passion for travel with his wife Sandy, exploring new places with an adventurous heart.

For 42 years, Clinton was a devoted member of the Dearborn Christian Fellowship Church, where he served faithfully as an elder. He also sat on the board of International Needs, a faith-based organization that reaches global communities with the Gospel and much needed resources.

Clinton served in the United States Army from May 1970 to November 1971, which included a tour in Vietnam.

Clinton was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Elmer and Bertha Meyering. He leaves behind a loving family who will miss him dearly: his devoted wife, Sandra Meyering; his daughters, Vicky (Walter) Seitz, and Tammy (Jeffrey) Daigneau; and his cherished grandchildren, Gabriel, Nathanael, and Emma Seitz, and Alexander, Evan, and Zoe Daigneau. Clinton is also survived by his sister, Judy Suzenaar.

Clinton's memory will be forever treasured by his family and friends, whose lives he touched deeply with his kindness and unwavering love.

Condolences

  • Dear Sanda and family, On Behalf of International needs and myself we extend our condolences and prayers during you time of loss. I had the privilege of serving with Clint the final 2 years he served on the IN Board. I always came away with a sense of both his kindness and dedication. I know many others at IN feel the same. His impact was and still is undeniable as he served both our organization but more important the kingdom of Christ. We are praying for you all and asking the peace of Christ to be felt. We will miss him as well. Jeffrey Johnson
