Donald Leon Moore, born on January 15, 1937, in Heidrick, Kentucky, passed away on May 9, 2025, in Huron Township, Michigan, at the age of 88. A man of dedication and faith, he leaves behind a legacy of love and strength.
Donald proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. His life was characterized by his unwavering devotion to his family and his steadfast faith, values he carried with him throughout his years.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy Moore; his son, Donald Leon Moore II; and his sister, Connie Cole.
Donald is survived by his sons, Darryl (Pamela) Moore and Jason (Kimberly) Moore. He was a cherished grandfather to Bridget Moore and Nick Moore, and a proud great-grandfather to Natalie and Callie. His memory will also be fondly treasured by his siblings, Joyce Flint and Gloria (Bruce) Sattler, as well as numerous friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity.
His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
