Obituary

Elizabeth May Murphy, born on April 26, 1991, in Southfield, Michigan, passed away on April 23, 2026, in Detroit, Michigan, at the age of 34. 

Elizabeth's life was a testament to the love and laughter she shared with her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children and siblings, embracing her role as a devoted mother and sister with an open heart. Her natural humor and warmth brought joy to those around her and created lasting memories for all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Brendan Bentley; her brother, Brian Amis-Bentley; her sister, Angela Bentley and her niece Adriana. Though their loss was deeply felt, Elizabeth carried their memory with love and grace.

Elizabeth leaves behind her beloved husband, Patrick Murphy, and their three adored children: Patrick Murphy, Jr., Aidan Murphy, and Skylar Murphy. She is also survived by her loving mother, Angel Bentley; her siblings, Christina Bentley, Deanna (Eric) Spears, and Patrick Bentley; her dear aunts, Sharon and Carmen and her uncle Billy; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will continue to celebrate her life and legacy.

Her spirit will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family and her ability to bring smiles and laughter to all around her. Elizabeth's memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
