Obituary
Roseann Matlock, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away on May 3, 2026, in Wayne, Michigan. She was born on August 5, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, and lived a life full of warmth and generosity for 77 years.
Roseann was a woman who cherished the comforts of home, finding joy in cooking and baking for her family and friends. Her kitchen was always filled with the delightful aromas of her creations, which she lovingly shared with those around her. Roseann possessed the kindest heart, always ready to give of herself to others, embodying the true spirit of selflessness and compassion.
She was preceded in death by her former spouse, Gary Nestor; her devoted husband, Lawrence Matlock; her sister, Kathy; and her brother, Tony.
Roseann leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Richard Nestor, Michael Nestor and his partner Lynne Martines, and David Nestor and his wife Delilah. She was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to three great-grandchildren. Her loving presence will be deeply missed by her sister, Theresa Herbert, and her husband Danny, as well as by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Roseann Matlock's memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends, whose lives she touched with her gentle spirit and unwavering kindness.
