Obituary

Scott Patrick Marshall (48) died from complications from Multiple Sclerosis on March 3, 2024. He was born on January 27,1976; a lifelong resident of Belleville and a 1995 graduate of Belleville High School. “Scottie” grew up apprenticing at Pat’s Collision; working in his father's garage fixing cars. Scott and his Dad loved to attend car shows together and race their 1970’s Chevy Gold Nova. You could find them both playing Euchre in the garage every Wednesday night. Scottie grew up in a very close knit family with annual trips to Hilton Head Island and Devil’s Lake. He told his sister “I had the best childhood anyone could ask for; I was so lucky”. Despite being 6”5, he was known to his family as “Little Scottie”.

He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Marshall, his beloved mother, Deborah (Traskos) Stambaugh, his brother-in-law, Joseph Conlin and his grandparents, Henry and Ervina “Beanie” Traskos; as well as his close friend Misty Fabrizio and his companion of many years, his dog, Boston. Scottie was survived by his sister, Amy Conlin (Colin Wood), Step-Father William Stambaugh (Rowena Zimmerman), and his grandmother, Pearlene Stamaugh. Nieces; Connor Conlin, Ellie Wood, Kathryn Kuehn, Leah Maroney, Bailey Etherton, Megan, Kelsey, Ray Lynn and Madison Maroney. Nephews Henry Wood, Edward Kuehn, Kenneth Scott LaPorte, William Maroney and Tyler Etherton. He was also survived by his aunts and uncles; Gloria “Aunt Babs” and Robert Coppock, Larry and Faye Traskos and Ronald Traskos. As well as his cousins; Greg, Dina, Tracy and Wendy Traskos, Megan and Kyle Coppock and Eric Schrader.

Scott was a lovable person with a great sense of humor. He was a big kid at heart and generous; often trying to help others. He loved poker nights with his friends and seemed to know someone everywhere he went. Scottie’s “chosen family” of Wendy Kuehn, Kenneth LaPorte, Jason and Stacie Ethorton, Willie and Colleen Maroney, Van Buren Maroney,  Mark and Penny Young and Adam Young, Donna and Earl Young, Rodney and Amanda Akers and Jayme West were with Scott in good times and were there for him as his health deteriorated.

Scotts final wishes were to be cremated and placed with his mother. No funeral or celebration of life will be held per his wishes.
