Obituary
Didina Pitian, born on October 26, 1952, in Iași, Romania, passed away on May 8, 2026, in Carleton, Michigan, at the age of 73.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her family above all else. Didina found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly her love for knitting and crocheting, which brought warmth and comfort to those she loved. She also enjoyed solving puzzles and expressing her creativity through drawing.
Didina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ilie Pitian. Her memory will be lovingly cherished by her surviving children: Magdalena (Emil), Emanuel (Mirela), Rebeca (Pavel), Simona (Adrian), Gheorghe (Liliya), Elisei, Elisabeta (Samuel), Estera (Ciprian), Abigail (Sergiu), Dorca, Augusta (John), and Iemima (David). Her legacy also lives on through her 83 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind her dear sisters Stefania, Tatiana, and Elena, as well as her brothers Nichita and Viorel, who will fondly remember her kindness and gentle spirit.
Didina will be remembered for her dedication to family, her talents, and the warmth of her presence that touched all who knew her. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her.
