Obituary

Edward James Pecsenye, aged 96, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, in Trenton, Michigan. Born on March 10, 1929, in Lincoln Park, Michigan, Edward lived a full and enriching life.

Throughout his years, Edward cultivated a deep passion for stamp collecting, capturing life's moments through photography, and nurturing his garden, with a particular fondness for growing corn and tomatoes. His hobbies brought him joy and a sense of fulfillment, shared over the years with those he loved.

Edward was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Norma Pecsenye, and his parents, Edward and Nellie Pecsenye. His legacy continues through his surviving family, including his children, Linda Ellette and Brian (Denise) Pecsenye. He was a proud grandfather to Lance (Jenny), Matthew, Stacy (Carl), Jennifer (Tyler), and Ryan (Angie), and cherished his eight great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren.

Edward "Moose," a beloved soul whose gentle spirit and unwavering dedication touched the lives of many, has passed from this world, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness. For decades, Moose was a dedicated member of the Ford Motor Company family, and he played a special role in the creation of the first Mustang, a testament to his skill and commitment.

Known affectionately by his nickname, Moose, Edward had a unique way of signing his name with a small drawing of a moose, a charming reflection of his playful yet humble nature. His dedication to his family was evident in every aspect of his life, and his gentle presence left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Though no longer with us, Edward's memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. His legacy of warmth, love, and kindness will continue to inspire those who knew him best. As we reflect on his life, we are reminded of the profound impact one gentle spirit can have in the world.

Condolences
