Obituary

Louis Charles Pinter, 85, of New Boston, Michigan, passed awayt at the home that he built on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025.

Born on July 26th, 1940 to his parents Mary Ann Pinter (Psujek) and Louis Pinter. Lou lived a life filled with faith, love and laughter. After losing his mother at an early age, Lou was raised by his uncle Dan and aunt Clara Pinter, from who he gained his sense of responsibility, humbleness, hard work and positivity - all characteristics central to who Lou was.

He was blessed to share 62 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, his partner in every sense of the word, Mary Ann. She brought endless joy to his days, and we take solace knowing that they are reunited now in heaven. From high school sweethearts to sharing 4 kids, 8 grandkids and endless memories, their love story was their greatest blessing and most prominent legacy. You couln't think of one with out the other. Lou would always say Mary Ann brought him to church and inspired his life-long faith.

He served our nation in the Navy, which opened up opportunites for him. He was a hard worker and passed on this work ethic to his kids and grandkids. He was a dedicated electrician, often helping others with projects without asking for anything in return. When he retired from the IBEW, he held the record for the most hours ever worked. Despite being dedicated at work, he also spent over 20 years coaching basketball, softball, and football - making sure that he was always a part of the sports that his kids loved. When he wasn't coaching he was found at the sidelines cheering and never had a word of criticism.

Throughout his life, he was the epitome of strength and positivity, always finding the best in every situation. Whenever anyone would ask him how he was doing, he would always say "absolutely wonderful!" His closest family never saw him angry for even one monent in his life. Every story he told was always followed closely with a life lesson and a smile.

His faith made generosity second nature to him, and he demonstrated this through his devotion to volunteerism at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waltz. During his over 60 years as a member of the church, he served as a trustee and was responsible for keeping everything in the building in working order - even the antiquated boiler. In his spare time, he was also a talented woodworker and crafted the wooden Lord's Prayer that resides in the back of the church today. This was a source of pride and joy for Lou.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faith - one that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Louis is preceeded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Pinter (Eicholtz). He is survived by his children, Chris Trezise (Doug), Rick Pinter, Scott Pinter (Melissa) and Jennifer Grant (Tony), and his grandchildren, Hannah, Mitchell, Dillon, Abby, Claire, Ava, Josh, and Noah.

Though we will miss him dearly, we find comfort in the knowledge that he is reunited with his one true love, Mary Ann. We can see them now, together again at the lake which they loved, holding hands and smiling just as they always did.
