Porter, Dr. Michael J. Age 60, of Flat Rock passed away on the morning of January 5th, 2020.Michael was born on September 26, 1959 in Lincoln Park, Michigan. He attended Aquinas High School and graduated in 1977. Following graduation, he enrolled in Palmer College of Chiropractic, earning his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree and graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1984. That same year, Michael was inducted into the Pi Tau Delta Chiropractic International Honor Society. Michael opened his first chiropractic clinic in Gibraltar, Michigan in 1985. In January 2003, he co-founded Porter and Clark Chiropractic. Michael was a devout Christian and a strong man of faith. He loved his patients and helping others. In 1999, Michael founded Focus on Charity, an organization that provided Thanksgiving meals for less fortunate families. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, boating, gardening and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Michael was a beloved husband of Marina Porter. Loving father of Michael (Jennifer) Porter, Danielle (Josh) Cade, Tricia (Chris) Robert and Rebekah (Mike) Lynch. Dearest grandfather of Colten, Carson, Claire, Julian and Owen. He is also survived by his siblings Carol (Peter Grossman) Porter, Jim (Tami) Porter and Jill (the late Doug) Lustig. He is proceeded in death by his parents John “Bud” and Geraldine Porter.
