- I too wish to extend my condolences to Dr. Porters wife and family. I too was with Dr Porter since the early days in Gibraltar and until 2019. He was an excellent Doctor and he and his family will be in our thoughts and prayers. Paul Lehr

- My heart is broken with the news of Dr. Porter's passing. Being a forever patient of his from seeing him a few years at his old office in Gibraltar and now ever since at the new place he always felt more like a friend to me then just my doctor. He always took time to address my concerns or just chit chat about every day life or upcoming vacations. I know he was a quiet and private man in ways so I feel sadden I was never able to give him a hug and tell him I was praying for him during his health battles. I give my condoliences to his family, especially his wife and son whom I now see on a regular basis. He was so proud of his son's accomplishments and following in his footsteps. May the days ahead bring you comfort in knowing what a truly great man Dr. Porter was and know he will never be forgotten. - Dr. Porter cared for me through out my pregnancies. I took my newborns to him when they were only 2 days old. He made feel so much better when I could not even walk. He was the kindest Christian man I have ever met. He never turned anyone away who was in need of treatment, no matter their religion or ability to pay. - We all walk upon the earth for a little while. Only a few will leave behind footprints to show where we walked. Mike has left meaningful footprints as he helped so many, he left deep footprints in the lives of those he loved and befriended, and he left graceful footprints where he danced and enjoyed life. - Dr. Porter has meant and will continue to mean much to my family and friends. He always went above and beyond with his patients and helped give us peace of mind when we needed it most. I was always convinced that he would make house calls for his patients if only he had enough hours in the day to do so. While we are completely shocked and saddened by this sudden loss, we take comfort in the fact that he is home where he belongs, and we look forwarded to hanging out with him and laughing with him once again. - I am really sorry for the loss of Dr. Porter. He was an AWESOME Chiropractor. He took care of me and my husband in his Gibraltar Office. Then when he opened his office in Flat Rock I went there. He was very gentle with his adjustments. He was so very knowledgable about all the current adjustments. His family, friends and the whole community will greatly miss him. - I am so sad to hear this news. Dr. Porter gave me my first job when I graduated from Chiropractic school in 1999. I will always remember him as a mentor and friend. I learned adjusting techniques from him that I still use in practice today. He was a very gifted, caring, and compassionate Chiropractor. He introduced me to Dr. Clark and I worked for both of them until I gave birth to my daughter. I am a better Chiropractor and business person because of the mentorship from both of these special men. I will always be grateful to Dr. Porter for giving me my first job and more importantly the confidence to succeed in this profession. One day in 2000, after coming back from lunch, Dr. Porter took me to see the land where the Porter & Clark Chiropractic office building now stands. In 2000 it was just a plot of land. Dr. Porter was smiling as he looked at the land and told me that it had always been his dream to build a Chiropractic office and leave a legacy for his children. I am so happy that he got to achieve his dream with Dr. Clark and leave this amazing legacy for his children and his patients. You will be missed Dr. Porter. Heidi Aprahamian
- I am absolutely shocked and saddened to hear this news. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Dr Porter as he was not only my chiropractor for years, and the best at that, but also a good friend. I haven't seen him in a few years and this hits me like I just spoke to him yesterday. My heart goes out to the family and close friends of this wonderful human being.. - I am shocked and saddened to hear this news. Dr Mike was such a giver and a compassionate doctor and friend. He tirelessly helped me in practice and spiritually guided me during some very rough times. He gave of his time and expertise without looking for compensation. He was so knowledgeable and inspirational. I loved seeing him and his wife Marina at conventions and we always had the best time! - Words cannot express how much my heart breaks for the Porter family. I am in disbelief that such a great man of God, an excellent Dr in so many ways, is no longer with us. Dr Porter definitely was a giving man. He was one who loved people. He poured out his compassionate heart, along with wisdom, into the care of his patients. My family and I have been traveling all the way from Texas for the last few years, to receive care from Dr. Porter. My daughter and I are Lyme FREE because of his great care. Dr. Porter put my sons picture on his Office wall, praying daily for him. Oh my heart is grateful for that. Prayers have been answered. He will truly be missed by many.
