Obituary

RANKINE, Donald L., age 84, of New Boston, December 26, 2023. Beloved husband of Linda Rankine. Loving father of Kari (Greg) Montgomery-Thibault, Bill (Jenna) Montgomery, Donald L. Rankine III, Rosanne (Richard Noke) Rankine and Lauren (John) Sitek.  Dearest grandfather of Nathaniel, Elizabeth, Aniello, Hazel, Zephyr, Yohannan, Emmanuel and Dominic. Dearest great grandfather of 3. He is also survived by his brothers Ron Rankin and Tom Rankin. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Rose Rankin and his brother Lynnwood Rankin. Donald served his community well. Fully retired from the U.S. Navy and Garden City Police Department. “Lee” was a proud member of the Huron Sportsman Club. He enjoyed his time with his grandchildren and feeding his birds. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
