Obituary
James Edward Rogers passed away on April 8, 2025, in Livonia, Michigan, at the age of 75. Born on November 18, 1949, in Trenton, Michigan, James was known for his gentle spirit, dedication to his family, and a lifelong passion for music.
James spent his career as a Supervisor for General Motors, where he was respected for his leadership and commitment to excellence. Outside of work, he found joy in playing the bagpipes, a skill he cherished and often shared with loved ones. He also enjoyed spending quality time with his family and watching television, activities that brought him great comfort and happiness.
He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Carol Rogers; his sister; and his parents, Clarence and Lillian Rogers. James is survived by his children, Eric Rogers and Elizabeth (Sean) Conorman, who will continue to honor his legacy through their lives. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren—Alanna, Anna, Emma, Camryn, and Chloe—who brought him immeasurable joy and pride.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Monday, April 14, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Michigan Memorial Park.
