Obituary

Kay Zidona Robinson, a beloved family matriarch, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 5, 2025, in Wyandotte, Michigan, at the age of 82. Born on May 5, 1942, in Joliet, Illinois, Kay devoted her life to her cherished role as a mother and grandmother, embodying love, care, and selflessness throughout her years.

Kay was a woman whose heart was devoted entirely to her family. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in the company of her children and grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. Her deepest wish was to be a mother to four children, a dream she fulfilled with boundless affection and devotion. Her legacy is one of warmth and kindness, always putting her family first and being present for every milestone, recital, performance, and sporting event. "Family is not an important thing, it is everything," a sentiment echoed by Michael J. Fox, captures the essence of Kay's life beautifully.

Sunday dinners were a cherished tradition, where her home was filled with laughter, stories, and a sense of togetherness. She rejoiced in hearing updates about her family's lives, always eager for photos and calls that kept her connected with those she loved most.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Stuart and Greta Shepley; her grandchild, Sydney; and her brothers Malcolm, James, and Charles. Her memory will forever be treasured by her surviving family: her children Stuart (Sharon) Robinson, Curt (Deborah Kunz) Robinson, Linda (Patrick) Callahan, and Vickie (Michael) Molnar. Her grandchildren, Krystal (John), Shannon (Ray), Briana, Tyler (Lindsay), Cody, Jesse, Summer, Faith, Rory, Brendan, Camden, and Mackenzie, along with her great-grandchildren, Lillian and Wyatt, will all carry forward her legacy of love and unity.

In quiet simplicity and profound dedication, Kay Zidona Robinson lived a life of true warmth and grace, leaving behind a family bonded by love and memories that will be cherished forever.
