Obituary

Cynthia B. Schroeder, aged 73, passed away on October 20, 2026, in Trenton, Michigan. Born on February 12, 1953, Cynthia was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.

Cynthia was the owner of Schroeder Tax Services in Flat Rock, Michigan, where she dedicated many years serving her community with professionalism and care. Beyond her work, she found joy in camping, playing bingo, and traveling to Christian concerts with her beloved husband, Alton, cherishing the uplifting spirit of Christian music. A true animal lover, Cynthia had a special affection for dogs and cats, and she delighted in feeding the squirrels that frequented her yard. Above all, she treasured spending time with her family and friends, remaining actively involved with her grandchildren and creating countless cherished memories.

She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Jamey Schroeder; daughter, Jennifer Aldridge; sisters, Phyllis and Sandy (the late Rick); son-in-law, James Aldridge; and her parents, Wallace and Vondelle.

Cynthia leaves behind her loving husband, Alton Schroeder; children Jason, Jeremy, Allison (Mark), Alton (Jacquetta), and Wendy; daughter-in-law Georgina Schroeder; grandchildren Dustin, Madison, Jarrod, Josh, Jacob, Felicia (Emmanuel), Jeremy Jr., Maya, Lukas, Brandie, Brandon, Breanna, Anthony, Christin, and Justin; great-grandchildren Alaia, Brayden, Colton, Christian, Tatum, Greyson, Espn, and one on the way; siblings Star (Mike), Wally (Debbie), and Millie (Bob); as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, with entombment to follow at Michigan Memorial Park.

Cynthia’s loving spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of faith, family, and kindness will continue to inspire and comfort those she leaves behind.
