Jeanne Ellaine Seifert, cherished wife, mother, Nana, great-nana, sister, aunt and friend, passed away at the age of 75 on April 15, 2025, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Born on January 25, 1950, in Norwood, Massachusetts, Jeanne was a beloved matriarch whose presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Loretta Frantz, and her siblings Patsy Tolba, Randall Frantz, and Cynthia Fraley (Vince Coscia), Jeanne leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Donald; her children Sandra (Brian) Van Camp and Jeffrey (Heather) Seifert; her grandchildren Kristopher (Jessica) Moore, Chelsea (Spencer) Yi, Benjamin (Sydni) Van Camp, Emily (Taylor) Van Camp, Scarlett Seifert, and Violet Seifert; and her precious great-grandchildren Adam, Kayleigh, Sofia, Lucas, Claudia, and one eagerly anticipated great-grandson.
Jeanne also leaves behind her loving siblings: Donna (Dwayne) Karlstad, William (Mary) Frantz, Arthur Frantz, James (Mona) Frantz, Kathy (Dave) Barker, Dianne (Gary) Gorkiewicz, and Mary Jane (Mike) Foley, as well as her brother-in-law Samir Tolba and numerous nieces and nephews who cherished their time with her.
Professionally, Jeanne worked as a travel agent, where she shared her passion for exploration with others. In her personal life, she was known for her love of Tim Hortons and her chocolate-dipped donuts, her skillful quilting, and her competitive spirit in games like Scrabble, Yahtzee, and Pinochle. Above all, she was a dedicated caregiver, embodying warmth and kindness to her family and friends.
A visitation to honor Jeanne's memory will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a service at 5:00 PM. Sunset entombment will follow at Michigan Memorial Park.
Jeanne's profound love and unwavering strength will forever remain in the hearts of those blessed to have known her. She will be remembered with deep affection and gratitude for the beautiful memories she created and shared.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jeanne’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
