Obituary
Nancy Lea Suemnick, born on May 29, 1949, in Minot, North Dakota, passed away at the age of 76 on May 17, 2026, in Dearborn, Michigan.
Throughout her life, Nancy cherished the simple pleasures and the warmth of family. She found great joy in spending time on the pontoon boat with her girls on the lake up north, surrounded by nature's beauty and tranquility. Her heart was filled with love for her family, especially her beloved grandson, Michael, who brought her immense pride and happiness.
Christmas held a special place in Nancy's heart, as she delighted in the holiday season, particularly in baking her famous Christmas cookies, which were eagerly anticipated by all who knew her. A devoted fan of Michigan sports, she enjoyed cheering on her favorite teams, the Lions and the Tigers, through every victory and challenge.
In her quieter moments, Nancy found solace in reading and engaging in games, with a special fondness for trivia and the card game Euchre, which she played with enthusiasm and skill.
She was preceded in death by her loving spouse, Larry Suemnick, and her siblings Sharon Newman, Sheila Furtch, Jeff Sanden, and Timothy Sanden.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted daughters, Carrie (Robert) Nelson and Lorrie Eskamalgi, her treasured grandson, Michael, and her brother, Jerry Sanden. Her presence will also be missed by many dear friends and extended family.
Nancy's warmth, kindness, and enduring love for her family and friends will be remembered and cherished forever.
