Anna Dell Thomson, born on January 15, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on March 12, 2026, in Brownstown, Michigan, at the age of 87.
Anna was a woman who cherished life's simple joys and had a profound love for animals. She dedicated much of her time to rescuing and caring for them, embodying a spirit of compassion and kindness that touched many hearts. In her earlier years, she found joy in swimming, an activity that brought her both peace and vitality. Shopping was another of her beloved pastimes, and she embraced it with enthusiasm throughout her life.
Preceded in death by her parents, L.D. and Odell Norsworthy, and her sister, Judy Robin, Anna leaves behind a family who will forever hold her memory dear. Her daughters, Lucinda Chavez (Chris) and Beth Foster, were her pride and joy. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Kyle Foster, Michael Foster (Lindsay), Ryan Foster (Amanda), Adam Foster (Melanie), Christopher, and Kayla. She was also the cherished great-grandmother of Kelsey, Owen, Jack, Ava, Lily, Lucas, Adalyn, Jonah, Aiden, and one eagerly anticipated great-grandchild. Anna was further blessed to be a great-great-grandmother to Everly.
Anna’s nurturing spirit and unwavering love for her family and animals alike will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. Her quiet strength and gentle heart left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have been a part of her life. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
