Karen Kay Carter Tokarz, born July 19, 1952, and died peacefully on February 13, 2026
Karen is survived by her husband, Michael Tokarz of Milford. She was the daughter of Alfred Leon Carter and Barbara Smith Carter. She is also survived by her brother Allan Carter and nephew, A.J. Carter.
Karen attended school in Farmington and was employed by Botsford Commons Nursing Home. She and Michael married in June of 2007 and they were residents of West Bloomfield. Karen enjoyed fashion, art and theatre, and both adored their Scottish terrier, Trinity.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Our Lady of Refuge, Orchard Lake, on Friday, March 6, with gathering at 10:30 AM. The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock.
Luncheon will be held immediately after the church service.
