Obituary

Paul Evan Tidrick, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 73 in Brownstown, Michigan. Born on September 10, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, Paul was a man whose life was defined by his deep faith, love for family, and passion for life.

Paul was a devoted member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Southgate, Michigan, where he actively participated and found immense joy in his spiritual community. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he was known as a man of God who loved his Lord deeply and lived each day with prayerful gratitude. 

He was a man who never met a stranger, possessing a remarkable gift for humor and social engagement that endeared him to many. Paul had an innate ability to make those around him feel welcome, a testament to his warm and sentimental nature. 

Travel was one of Paul’s favorite pursuits, and he particularly enjoyed cruises that allowed him to explore the world while sharing memorable experiences with those he loved. His devotion to family was evident in the quality time he spent with them, creating lasting memories through laughter, storytelling, and his culinary delights – his skills in the kitchen were renowned among family and friends.

An avid supporter of the Detroit Red Wings, Paul was also a passionate animal lover who found joy and companionship in the company of animals. He had a special way of connecting with children, leaving a positive impact on the lives of those he encountered.

Paul is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Robert and Ruth Tidrick, and his brothers, Robert and Carl Tidrick. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 54 years, Linda Tidrick; his loving children, David (Jenn) Tidrick and Rebecca (Kevin) Miller; his dear sister, Barbara (Richard) Czarnota; and many cherished nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

A visitation will be held at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, with a service at Christ the King Lutheran Church located in Southgate, on Tuesday, December 9, 2025; Instate is from 10:00 – 11:00 AM with service at 11:00 AM, followed by a luncheon held at the church.

Through he will be deeply missed, Paul’s legacy of love, faith, and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
