Obituary

Ronald James Vermette, aged 72, of Lincoln Park, Michigan, passed away on May 6, 2026. Born on February 4, 1954, in River Rouge, Michigan, he lived a life full of love, family, and devotion.

Ronald was a man deeply passionate about his home state’s sports, cheering fervently for the Michigan Wolverines and the Detroit Lions. His enthusiasm for these teams was matched only by his love for cooking and barbequing, which brought joy and delicious meals to his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Sherie Johnson; his parents, Raymond and Helen Vermette; his brother, Robbie Vermette; and his sister, Delores.

Ronald leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Vanessa Vermette; his children, Tammy Jean Roberts and George (Glenda) Wallace; his grandchildren, Christopher Roberts, Cody Roberts, Kristina Rossow, Lindsey Rossow, Chad Rossow, Rachel Rossow, Jessica Wallace, and Jakob Wallace; and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Raymond, Richard, Denise, Darlene, and Diane.

Ronald will be remembered for his warm smile, his hearty laughter, and the love he shared with all those around him. His legacy will live on through the cherished memories held by both family and friends.

Condolences
