Obituary

Rose Ann Mirolla Morin VanHemel, 90, of Mooresville, NC, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023. A Detroit native, she formerly resided in Plymouth, Michigan for many years.

She was born July 11, 1932, in Detroit, MI, to the late Anthony Mirolla and Jennie Iaconelli Mirolla Grosfield. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John VanHemel; loving brother, Richard Mirolla and sister, Nancy Nieman.

She enjoyed dancing, gardening, entertaining, and especially spending time with her cherished family, wonderful neighbors, and incredible friends. She enjoyed listening to Big Band, Motown, Sinatra music, shopping, and fashion. Rose was fun loving and always smiling and laughing as she had an amazing sense of humor. She loved being an endearing and adoring mother.

She is survived by her treasured daughter, Cheryl Fuhr and husband, Jerry; son, Mark Terry Morin;
stepsons, David VanHemel and wife, Marie, and Don VanHemel and wife, Deborah;
stepdaughters, Jean Bliscik and husband, Andrew, and Jan Steinle and husband, Christopher; step grandchildren, Kelsey VanHemel, Mallory VanHemel Remner, Jon Steinle, and
Andrea Bliscik; devoted and loving nieces, Debbie Nieman, Joyce Prince, Cindy Yates, Peggy Borst;
nephew, Brian Mirolla; loving great-nieces, Elizabeth Prince, Lindsey Borst, Kayla Moody; great-nephew, Joe Borst.  She is also survived by many special cousins, extended family, and friends. She was loved by so many.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
