Obituary
Beatrice Shirley Welsh, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend, passed away on June 10, 2026, in Taylor, Michigan, at the age of 92. She was born on December 12, 1933, in Ecorse, Michigan.
Beatrice was a woman of many talents and interests. She had a love for playing cards and games, which she often enjoyed with her many friends. Her artistic spirit shone through in the various crafts she worked on throughout her life. She delighted in tinkering with things, always curious and creative. Beatrice also found joy and camaraderie as a member of a bowling league, where her cheerful demeanor and positive outlook brightened the lives of those around her.
Her happiest moments were spent at her cherished summer place by the lake, where she could relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. Beatrice was known for her infectious happiness and her love for everything life had to offer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Leroy Welsh; her parents, John and Della Collins; her siblings, Kenneth Collins, Donald Collins, Royce Collins, John "Jack" Collins, Robert Collins, Albert Collins and Rhodella Schmidt; and her son-in-law, David Kinney.
Beatrice leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory: her children Michael Welsh, Kenna Kinney, and Shirdel (Karla Jurgensen) Welsh; her grandchildren Dawn (Chris) Wilde, Kevin Kinney, and Kelly (Chris) Johnson; her great-grandchildren Jessica, Jordan, Jaime, Ryan, and Anthony; and her great-great-grandchildren Hallie, Ava, and Roman. She is also survived by her brother, Raymond Collins, and many nieces and nephews.
Beatrice's warmth and kindness touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy of love and joy will continue to inspire her family and friends for generations to come.
