Obituary

Joseph Brian Wawrzyniec, a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on July 19, 2026, in Carleton, Michigan. Born on May 31, 1966, in Trenton, Michigan, Joseph lived a full and vibrant life, reaching the age of 60.

Throughout his life, Joseph was known for his unwavering dedication and work ethic, qualities that shone brightly during his time at Kryske Hardware. He worked diligently and took immense joy in his job, forging lasting bonds with his coworkers. His family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Kryske family and all his colleagues for the kindness and love they shared with him.

Joseph had a zest for life that was evident in his many interests and passions. He cherished traveling and camping, finding peace and adventure in the great outdoors. A true lover of nature, he spent countless hours gardening and grooming his lawn to perfection. During the summer months, Joseph could often be found hosting lively BBQs and pool parties, sharing laughter and good times with loved ones. Golf was another pastime he enjoyed, and his love for dogs was exemplified through his beloved furry companions, Bella and Luna. When Joseph was young, the doctor told him he would never walk, the Wawrzyniec family put their faith in God and Joe defeated the odds, finally walked, and lived life to the fullest.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Louise, his nephew Christopher Suchyta, and his niece Amanda Wawrzyniec. Joseph is survived by his siblings: Monica (CJ) Suchyta, Phil (Charmaine) Wawrzyniec, and Jerry (Mickey) Wawrzyniec. He was a cherished uncle to Craig (Danielle) Wawrzyniec, Scott (Jessica) Suchyta, Eric Suchyta, Kyle Wawrzyniec, Dale Wawrzyniec, and Dana Wawrzyniec. As a great uncle, he will be fondly remembered by Layne, Landen, Liam, and Emma.

Visitation for Joseph will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
