Mona Joan Winconek, born on April 4, 1938, in Timble, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, at the age of 87 in Woodhaven, Michigan. She lived a vibrant and fulfilling life surrounded by family, friends, and community.

Mona was a guiding light to many, dedicating her time and energy as a leader in the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts. Her passion for the arts shone through her performances as an actress and singer in local community theater, where she captivated audiences with her talent and grace.

A devoted member of several organizations, Mona was actively involved in the Women's Auxiliary PLAV, the VFW, and the Moose Lodge. Her faith was integral to her life, and she was a cherished member of the Warrendale Church in Dearborn.

Mona was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Callie and Bernard Ray. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her four children, Debbie (Ernest) Delgeado, Rebecca (Bill) Baiocco, Laura Lucas, and Steven (Colleen) Price; eleven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren, all of whom brightened her days and enriched her life.

Mona's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her community will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of her family and friends.

Condolences

  • Hey guys, your Dad and I were blessed to have her visit us in Florida when you guys came down. She was so kind and loving, lighting up the room no matter where she was. One of my favorite memories was when we went on the dolphin viewing boat ride. She was always up for an adventure (even at her age and hurting) I'm so glad I was privileged to talk to her one last time thanks to Jessah bringing me her phone. First thing in the morning when she came to visit was to put on her makeup, wow what a beautiful lady inside and out. Thank you Steve and Colleen for bringing her into my life. Mona, you will be missed greatly! Rest gently in the arms of your heavenly Father God bless all her family with comfort. Mary Welsh
